TOYOTA TUNDRA LIMITED - Built for Aussie Roads
For years, Aussie ute lovers have admired the brute force of the Ford F-150 and Chevy Silverado. But now, there’s a new heavyweight on the scene — and it’s wearing a Toyota badge.
Following the successful launch of the Tundra Limited in November 2024, Toyota has raised the bar with the arrival of the Platinum grade, now available at dealerships nationwide. It’s the result of a six-year, world-first program to re-engineer the legendary U.S.-built Tundra for Australia’s right-hand drive roads, crafted in partnership with Walkinshaw Automotive Group in Melbourne.
Big Truck Energy, Toyota DNA
The Tundra Platinum doesn’t just arrive — it owns the road. Stretching nearly 6 metres long and over 2 metres wide, it has the presence to match its reputation. With bold styling, an unmistakable grille, and 20-inch alloy wheels, it’s a ute that looks just as at home towing the boat or tackling the jobsite as it does cruising to your weekend escape.
Step inside, and you’re met with a level of luxury rarely seen in this class — leather-accented seats, front seat massage, heated and ventilated rear seats, and a cabin packed with smart tech that makes every journey feel first-class.
Under the Hood: Hybrid Muscle
Forget V8 envy — the Tundra’s 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 hybrid delivers the muscle you crave, with the efficiency you want. With a combined 326kW of power and 790Nm of torque, the i-FORCE MAX powertrain gives you serious grunt when you need it and smooth hybrid performance when you don’t.
Paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and part-time four-wheel drive system with dual-range transfer case, the Tundra is always ready to tow, climb, or power ahead. In two-wheel drive, torque is sent to the rear wheels via an automatic limited-slip differential, while high and low-range 4WD modes offer greater traction when the going gets tough.
Towing? Bring It On
With a 4500kg [1] braked towing capacity, integrated tow hitch, wiring harness, and 3500kg-rated tow ball and tongue, the Tundra is made to work hard — and play even harder. Add in two towing modes, a manual trailer brake controller with 10 selectable adjustments, and a trailer back-up guide that can autonomously steer while reversing, and you’ve got towing tech that puts you in complete control.
Built to Send It
Sharing its TNGA-F ladder frame with the legendary LandCruiser 300, the Tundra is engineered to handle Australia’s toughest conditions. Its wider track, longer wheelbase, and tuned suspension strike a perfect balance between load-carrying muscle and refined comfort.
Massive ventilated disc brakes, electric power steering, and Toyota’s durability round out a package built to handle whatever you throw at it.
Loaded with Safety and Tech
Toyota’s Safety Sense [2] suite comes standard, including pre-collision safety, active cruise control, lane trace assist, and a panoramic view monitor. The Platinum steps it up further with a 10.9-inch head-up display that keeps key info right in your line of sight.
Packed with the ultimate entertainment Toyota’s multimedia system with Bluetooth® [3] compatibility, AM/FM radio, voice recognition, and wireless Apple CarPlay® [4] and wired Android Auto™ [5] functionality – all displayed on a huge 14-inch touchscreen. Perfect for long road trips across country or short trips around town.
A 12-speaker JBL® [6] premium audio system and wireless smartphone charger [7] further enhance the tech-rich cabin of the Tundra, while there are plenty of charging ports for personal devices with three front and two rear USB-C outlets.
Backed by Toyota
With the extensive development and re-engineering process having been validated under Toyota’s strict quality standards, your Tundra is fully covered by the Toyota Warranty Advantage [8]. You get five years of unlimited kilometre coverage, plus five years of capped price servicing at $450 per service over intervals of 6 months or 10,000km, whichever comes first [9].
That’s serious peace of mind to match serious performance.
Tine to Experience It
If you want a ute that’s big, bold, and packed with attitude — without compromising on refinement or reliability — the Tundra Platinum is ready. It’s the perfect blend of power, luxury, and Toyota precision, setting a new standard on Australian roads.
