There’s something special about getting your hands dirty for a good cause — and that’s exactly what the Stage 2 students at Dubbo North Public School did this week in celebration of School’s National Tree Day.

School's National Tree Day

Fresh off their sports carnival (and thankfully between rain showers!), the students swapped their running shoes for gardening gloves and teamed up with Dubbo City Toyota to make a lasting mark on their native garden.

Guided by passionate teachers Toby Morgan and Sarah Campbell, and with support from our own Tristram Quinn, Vicki Wolstenholme and Sam Campbell, the students planted a mix of grevillea, lilly pillies, and native grasses in their native garden.

The plants were proudly supplied by Dubbo City Toyota, with expert guidance from ICaN Nursery, who generously shared their knowledge to help guide the school’s plant selections. Their advice ensured the garden additions were not only beautiful, but perfectly suited to thrive in our local environment.

At Toyota, we believe creating sustainable communities starts with small actions — like planting a tree. That’s why we’re proud to support events like this through our ongoing commitment to a greener future. By working alongside the next generation, we’re not just planting for today — we’re investing in the landscape of tomorrow.

A big thank you to the team at Dubbo North Public School for welcoming us. We can’t wait to see how your garden grows! 🌿
