One of Toyota's biggest innovations is 'Kaizen', or Continuous Improvement. At Dubbo City Toyota we are continusouly thinking of way to improve our processes, how we can learn from each other and what we could be doing better to help the flow of our day to day activities. This morning our sales team met breifly in the yard for a walk around of the all new Toyota Hilux Rugged X. Most of the team had attended product training, but they wanted to all meet together to go over some of the features and take a closer look at this stunning new vehicle.
The team try and do activities like this as often as they can to help share knowledge, learn from each other as far as presentation and delivery of vehicles goes, and to build on the team work aspect of our workplace.
The new Toyota Hilux Rugged X is a vehicle not to be passed by. It features a fully integrated front bar made from high-tensile steel and fashioned to maximise approach and departure angles. The bar also integrates an extended LED lighting strip.
Underneath resides a 5mm-thick high-strength alloy bash plate that is winch-compatible, offering off-road recovery hooks that are rated to 8000kg. To compensate for the added 207kg mostly concentrated over the front, Toyota has introduced new front spring rates.
The Rugged X wears 17-inch alloy wheels, surrounded by moulded wheel-arches. Further back lives new heavy-duty steel side steps that have been tested extensively off-road.
At the rear sits a four-piece sports bar that can hold up to 75kg of vertical mass or assist with tying down a 200kg load in the tray. A heavy-duty rear bar with more recovery points can be found at the rear.
